Dr. Majed Zouhairi joined our practice in 2015 as a Gastroenterologist. He is triple board certified in Gastroenterology, Internal Medicine, and Obesity Medicine. Dr. Zouhairi completed his medical school in Beirut, Lebanon and then moved to the United States in 2007 for his Internal Medicine residency and to conduct research on Gastrointestinal malignancies at Georgetown University Medical Center in Washington, DC; while there, he won several awards for his research work. He then completed a Fellowship in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, NC.
Dr. Zouhairi is Chair of the Department of Medicine at Montefiore St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital (MSLC) and also the GI Subspecialty Education Coordinator for Internal Medicine residency program at MSLC.
Dr. Zouhairi treats patients with a wide variety of general gastrointestinal issues including liver diseases, and specializes in various diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy procedures.
Dr. Zouhairi has been nominated, by his Hudson Valley medical community peers, as a Castle Connolly “Top Doctor” for the past three years (2022, 2023, and 2024). Castle Connolly Top Doctors represent the top 7% of all US practicing physicians in the country.
